Commons[edit]

Commons are dragons that can be found in searching with Hiccup and Toothless there is a subcategory of Common called Scarce. The following are listed in the order in which you can obtain them in the game.

Scarce[edit]

Scarce Dragons are Dragons that are similar to Common, but a little rarer to achieve, take longer to find with Hiccup and Toothless and take more Runes to search with more backpacks, as well as needing a higher Hiccup and Toothless level than commons. The following are listed in the order in which you can obtain them in the game.

Rare[edit]

Rare dragons are really hard to achieve. They need higher levels of Hiccup and Toothless to search for, take more Runes to bring more bags, take a long time to search for, and cost a lot of Runes to buy in The Book of Dragons The following are listed in the order in which you can obtain them in the game.

Exotic[edit]

Exotic Dragons are Dragons that are a remake of Commons, Scarce, or Rares that have a special coloring scheme different from their original counterparts. These exotic dragons are the only unlockable via completing collections.

Defender[edit]

Defender dragons are dragons that are remakes of Commons, Scarce, and Rares with a different color scheme as if wearing armour. They are unlocked via collection and, once completing the collection, the game will show an animation where the dragons are saved from Drago Bludvist's traps.

Unique[edit]

Unique, not to be mixed up with Exclusive, uses dragons that are remakes of Commons, Scarce, and Rareswith different coloring, but also uses new Dragons. Uniques usually have different names and unlike Exclusives, you can only obtain one of each. Uniques can only be obtained by buying them with real money, or with runes. Some can be bought from The Book of Dragons, others can only be obtained by buying them from special deals available for a limited amount of time once in a great while, or unlocked via special events. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Exclusive[edit]

Exclusives, not to be mixed up with uniques are dragons that are remakes of Commons, Scarce, and Rares with different color patterns, but there are also original exclusives. The only difference between Unique and Exclusive dragons is that you can get more than one copy of Exclusives where you can only have one of each Unique. You can get Exclusive dragons from special events or from buying special deals with real money or lots of Runes that come around once in a great while. Exclusive Dragons bought in special deals cannot have more than one counterpart on Berk. Another way you can obtain Exclusive dragons is by Journeying with Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Ruffnut & Tuffnut, Snotlout, or Gobber and hopefully bringing back an Exclusive dragon egg.

Brute[edit]

Brute dragons are special kinds of dragons that are unlocked in collections they are remakes of original dragons with the same name, but with different color patterns. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Exiled[edit]

Exiled dragons are special kinds of dragons that are unlocked in collections they are remakes of original dragons with the same name, but with different color patterns. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Seedling[edit]

Seedling dragons are special kinds of dragons that are unlocked in collections they are remakes of original dragons with the same name, but with different color patterns. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Primal[edit]

Primal dragons are special kinds of dragons that are unlocked in collections they are remakes of original dragons with the same name, but with different color patterns. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Premium[edit]

Premium dragons are dragons only available in the Premium Card Packs and when placed on Berk, have special effects. Some are no longer available in the Premium Card Pack they are marked No longer available. Some are still available in the Golden Pack available in the Odin Market. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Champions[edit]

Champion dragons are only unlockable from champion dragon packs. The following is listed in alphabetical order.

Legendaries[edit]

Legendary dragons are only available after reaching a viking milestone in amount of vikings you have in your village. In order to obtain them, you need to have the legendary dragon obtained before it. Legendary dragons are not placed in a habitat on your island but rather, a 3d model of them is located somewhere on the exterior of the Berk island. With them, you can activate special perks that last for a certain amount of time. They can also be sent to search for legendary items that take about twenty hours to obtain.
