The Southeastern Gospel Music Workshop was founded in 2014 by Gospel Singer and Executive of Harmony Studios, Dr. Marcia Leeks. Notably, with her husband Earnest H. Leeks, they formed the S.G.M.W.A. Choir during the 1st Annual Southeastern Gospel Music Workshop Convention. Ultimately, the S.G.M.W.A. Choir’s focus is the exaltation of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all its fullness to all. They certainly embody the Scripture of John 12:32, “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.” The choir contributes riveting and heart wrenching performances under the dynamic music directorship of Dr. Marcia Leeks, Minister R. James Thompson and Marcus Thompson on this magnificent project.
