Matteo Andreetto

Matteo Andreetto (born 1974) is the current CEO of STOXX, a role he has been in since January, 2016 and Head of Index Services at Deutsche Börse Group [1].

This role includes responsibility for the STOXX and DAX indices and serving issuers who use indices as underlyings or benchmarks for financial products.

Before, Mr. Andreetto was Global Head of Sales at STOXX Ltd. In this role he was responsible for coordinating STOXX’s sales activities globally across the sell and buy-side, and the strategic positioning of the integrated index families of STOXX Ltd., as well as the indices of Deutsche Börse Group and SIX Swiss Exchange AG.

In his previous roles at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, Matteo was working closely with and servicing buy-side clients, which gives him the experience and network that is needed to further expand the index business towards the buy-side.

Raised in Este, Matteo holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University, Milan with a strong focus on applied statistics and capital markets, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP189) at Harvard Business School.
