Mike Gentile (born July 19, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is an information security researcher, author and entrepreneur.[1] He is one of the authors of the CISO Handbook.[2][3][4]

Early life[edit]

Gentile played soccer at Sonoma State University.[5]


Gentile worked for Auxilio.[6]

In 2010, Mike co-founded Delphiis with Jason Houlden where he served in various roles including CEO and CTO. In 2016, Mike founded CISOSHARE, a DBA[clarification needed] of Coastline Consulting Services, Inc which specializes specifically in helping organizations develop information security programs.[7][8]
