Prince Nelson was Prince's first and last name. If you add the name "Rogers" inbetween the two names, you get Nelson's full name, Prince Rogers Nelson.
Often referred to as the Prince of Funk, Nelson was best known for songs such as "Purple Rain" (although it wasn't a funk song) and "I Wanna Be Your Lover". He died on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57.
