Roman Molino Dunn (a.k.a. Electropoint)[1] is an Billboard and iTunes charting [2] American music producer and film composer who has produced music for indie and Grammy-winning artists alike as well as composing for film, television, and commercials at Mirrortone Studios in Manhattan.

Early life[edit]

Molino Dunn studied composition with Shafer Mahoney and Christopher Theofanidis. He was the winner of the 2002 MCAC Youth in Music Excellence Award for his song cycle "4 Facets" and received the 2006 Orpheus Music Composition Competition Recorder Ensemble Award. He was also the recipient of the 2005 CUNY Libby Van Arsdale Award.

Career[edit]

As a composer and music producer, Roman Molino Dunn composed and produced music for major advertising agencies and corporations, for television commercials, film, radio, and internet campaigns. Brands who have used his music include Maserati, Michael Kors, DKNY, Donna Karan, Aerin, Clinique, NBC, Globe and Mail, Sumita, Vidanta, Uceris, and many more [3]. As a producer, his "Flawless (Electropoint Remix)" by Dr. Miami and Adam Barta made it to #9 on the iTunes Dance Charts and #24 on the Billboard Dance Charts [4] [5]. Shortly thereafter he produced "Body Positivity feat. Adam Barta and Kandy Muse" by TV personality Eureka O'Hara was premiered on Billboard.com [6]. Electropoint's single “Bounce”, feat. Norwegian Grammy winners Da Youngfellaz, was used in the hit show Bad Girls Club on Oxygen and was released by major record company Empire [7]. Electropoint's single “Work On You” featuring Sony Asia artist Richard Jansen received significant terrestrial radio play in Asia and Europe [8]. Among others, he has produced songs and recorded for celebrities from Ru Paul's Drag Race including Phi Phi O'Hara, Latrice Royale, Eureka O'Hara[9],Alexis Michelle, Kasha Davis, Bob The Drag Queen, Pandora Boxx, and Mimi Imfurst.


As a film music composer Roman Molino Dunn has worked on award-winning shorts and feature films. He composed the score for the film Bear City 3 [10] which won Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2016 Reeling Chicago International Film Festival and Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2016 qFLIX Philadelphia Film Festival. Roman Molino Dunn composed the score for the web-series Ac'tiv•ist which won "Best Web Series" at the Big MINI Media Festival.

Roman Molino Dunn has also coded music software that has been purchased by Avid and included in the Sibelius notation software [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16]
