Russ Salzberg

A native of New York, Russ Salzberg most recently has brought a unique style of sportscasting to Fox 5 News in NYC. Russ developed this style while serving as Sports Anchor at CITY-TV in Toronto, Ontario. He also served as sports anchor for My9 News, since October 1988. He has gained the respect of athletes and sports fans alike by combining a genuine love of sports with an enthusiastic delivery.

Russ has received numerous awards throughout his career. He is a two-time Emmy Award- winner. He contributes his time to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the March of Dimes and the CJ Foundation for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

Born in the Bronx and raised in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, he graduated from Brooklyn Tech in 1969 and attended Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec. His commitment to his work is second only to his commitment to his family, which includes his wife, his two daughters, son-in-laws, and two grandsons.
